On the 20th March Cobwebs travelled to Mount pleasant Farm and enjoyed a full day engaging in and helping Mrs Hatch do all of the jobs on the farm. The children had the opportunity to feed and water chickens, lambs and pigs. We also looked at where and how the animals live and the care that is needed to keep them safe and clean.
After a class discussion cobwebs have decided their favourite part of the farm trip was when they fed the two pigs called Pinky and Percy. They loved how Percy kept stealing Pinky’s share of the food.
We would like to thank Mount pleasant farm for a lovely day!
Brilliant effort Cobwebs! As it was world book day on the 2/3/17 children in Cobwebs dressed up as a character from their favourite book. We have got The little Mermaid, Little Red Riding Hood, Batman and Bat women, Dennis the Menace, A tiger from The Tiger who came to tea, Hulk, Minnie Mouse, Poppy from Trolls and many more! You all looked dazzling!
This week’s rhyme of the week is called The African Elephant, please can you encourage your child to learn this poem.
The African elephant
The elephant has enormous ears,
And a trunk so very long,
His eyes are very tiny,
And his tusks are sharp and strong.
